Local Information Vol.7 "Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots"
Due to the extremely cold weather that occurred in December and early January in the Kanto region this year, cherry blossoms are expected to bloom at the average age or slightly earlier than normal. The cherry blossoms in Maebashi City are expected to bloom around March 30th and reach full bloom around April 5th.
We will introduce three famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Maebashi City that are easily accessible from the hotel.


A natural cherry blossom viewing spot where the pond and cherry blossoms blend beautifully
Rakuhodo Maebashi Park is home to approximately 350 Somei-Yoshino cherry trees in full bloom around Sachi Pond. The cherry blossoms are beautifully reflected in the water, and the fountain that shoots up over 10 meters is also a sight to behold. This park is perfect for picnics and families with children, and is a place where you can relax and enjoy yourself.

A quiet spring walk surrounded by the beauty of pine forests and weeping cherry trees
The weeping cherry blossoms that bloom among the approximately 2,700 pine trees are beautiful and exude a Japanese atmosphere. There are many cafes and general stores nearby, making it the perfect place for a leisurely stroll. Among the cherry blossom trees lining the Tone River, you can see a special tree named "The Cherry Blossom of Grandchildren's Generation."

Enjoy the spring to the fullest with a cherry blossom tunnel and a festive atmosphere
This is one of Gunma's most famous cherry blossom spots, and has been selected as one of the "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots." There are over 1,000 cherry blossom trees lined up, and when in full bloom it looks like a tunnel of cherry blossoms.
It will be held from April 5th "Akagi Nanmen Senbonzakura Festival" You can enjoy local gourmet food, local product markets, and stage events, and at night the illuminated cherry blossoms create a fantastical view.

"12th Brigade 24th Anniversary and Somahara Garrison 66th Anniversary Commemorative Event"
The Ground Self-Defense Force Camp Somahara, located in Shinto Village, Kitagunma District, Gunma Prefecture, will be holding a "12th Brigade 24th Anniversary and Somahara Garrison 66th Anniversary Commemoration Event." On the day, the training ground (airfield area) will be open to the public, and a variety of events are planned, including a review ceremony, training demonstrations, equipment displays, and high-mobility vehicle test drives.
